Excursiones with the Manta Rey

No visit to Costa Rica is complete without a journey on Calypso’s world famous island cruise. First we will take you to the pacific port of Puntarenas. Here you have the excellent opportunity to watch the ever-changing panorama from the deck of the boat.

When you arrive in Puntarenas you will get onto board of Calypso’s super catamaran Manta Raya. She is especially designed for vacationers. The boat has an underwater viewing window, where you can watch the sea life without actually diving. It also is equipped with fresh water showers and a full bar. The spacious air- conditioned main salon combines together with an expansive deck area combines the luxury and comfort of 100% Calypso style. The boat also possesses 2 Jacuzzi pools.
 

Once the cruise of the Manta Raya started, you will pass by lush mangroves, canneries and stilt houses. On the boat the crew will pamper you with fresh tropical fruits and drinks. In the morning the catamaran will pass by the islands of San Lucas, Gypsy, Sugar Loaf, Guayabo, Jesusita, Cedros and Negritos. The final destination will be than the Island of Tortuga.

Particularly enchanting for it's beauty, Tortuga Island is known for its immaculate white sand beach and turquoise waters, a perfect spot for swimming, snorkeling. You will there have the possibility to enjoy Calypso's famous lunch. For passenger safety and convenience Manta Raya has a bow ramp which allows passengers to disembark directly onto the beach.Sip cold wine in the shade of white umbrellas at tables covered with white linen and be served the midday feast.

A sumptuous delight previously featured in Gourmet Magazine, starts with an appetizer, followed by a medley of salads. The main dish is a delightful barbeque- breast of chicken covered in a mouthwatering tropical sauce accompanied with julienned vegetables. All of them prepared fresh on the grill by Calypso's expert crew.
